Insurance Dedicated Funds (“IDFs”) are tax-efficient structures that can allow invested assets to compound tax-deferred; can be permanently income tax free with certain structures.

 

IDFs are accessed via two methods: a Private Placement Life Insurance (“PPLI”) Account or a Private Placement Variable Annuity (“PPVA”) Account:

 

  • PPLI Accounts can offer investors the ability to eliminate income taxes completely as well as a compelling estate planning tool.

  • PPVA Accounts can offer taxable investors tax-deferred growth until distribution, death, or expiration of a contract, at which time all gains are taxed at the ordinary income tax rate.
